On Friday, February 12th, Brian and Ronda Underwood
flew into town from Colorado to
participate in Gender Reveal Weekend!
I picked them up from the airport and we
drove into downtown Tulsa to meet Eric
at the Federal Courthouse where he is
currently doing an externship for school.
We got a short tour, which was
very interesting. Then we headed home
for a delicious brisket dinner.
My sweet husband sent me Valentine Flowers on Friday. (15 weeks Pregnant) |
Saturday morning, we woke up ready for
our appointment, but we had to wait until 11:00!
So we ate homemade cinnamon rolls
with fruit and orange juice. Yummy.
My parents came over to the house and
we all wrote down our guesses for baby!
I made a list of old wives tales and circled
my symptoms to give everyone a little
assistance...
(We gave my co-workers and several
family members an opportunity to guess)
This list would make you believe it's a Boy! |
5 Votes for Girl; 11 Votes for Boy |
Finally, it was 10:40 and we could leave the house
and go to our appointment! We were all so excited
and hoping Baby Underwood would cooperate so we
could determine gender. 15 weeks is about the
earliest anyone will attempt to determine
gender. So it was a bit of a gamble...
The grandparents! |
Our appointment was at
Miracle in the Womb.
The grandparents and my cousin
Lauren and her husband Scott
were in attendance.
The parents-to-be! |
We were all in a room with a big screen TV.
It was amazing to watch Baby Underwood squirming
around (Thank you Candace for the orange
juice recommendation). My cousin Lauren and the
ultrasound technician knew immediately that
Baby Underwood was a boy. He wiggled his
hands and fingers and wouldn't let go of
the umbilical cord. He even moved his mouth.
He put on a great show for us - he's already
ready for the millions of pictures his paparazzi
mother is planning to take of him.
Here are a few of the pictures we got
of Baby Boy Underwood.

After our appointment, we drove to Mi Cocina
on Cherry Street in Tulsa for a
celebratory lunch! Before lunch, Baby Boy
Underwood got his first gender specific gift
from Gramps and Grammie...
A sweet book and a "lovey" |
The whole bunch smiled for a picture after lunch
before we all went to Utica Square to shop
at Pottery Barn Kids! What a fun day!

We bought a sheet set, quilt
and bedskirt so that I can start planning
the paint colors for the nursery.
Our nursery theme is "transportation"
so it will be cars, trains, and planes mostly.
And it's very bright and cheery!

Oliver helped us reveal Baby Underwood's
gender on Facebook on Sunday, Valentine's Day!
He always does a great job in pictures (Even
when he is afraid of the balloons).
So, there you have it! Baby Underwood
is a beautiful Boy and we can't wait
to meet him! We just have to come up
with a sweet little name...
So stay tuned!
