Our 2nd Anniversary

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary
on the 29th.  It was a wonderful day.

We woke up and ate
some homemade cinnamon rolls
on our cute pumpkin plates
(Thank you Grandma Peg).

We decided to keep with tradition
on our gift giving - so the 2nd anniversary
traditional gift is cotton.

Eric got me a beautiful tablecloth
for our new kitchen table,
with matching napkins
and pretty silver napkin rings.

I got Eric an embroidered
golf towel and a CU mascot
golf club cover.

We got all dressed up
and went out to dinner
at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
in Salt Lake City.

Every year, we will take a picture
holding the picture we took the last
year on our anniversary...
it's going to be neat.

Our table had rose petals on it
We got home and put on our
comfy clothes to toast to
another wonderful year of
marriage (even if we were only
together for half of it).

My parents sent a bottle
of champagne home with me
for the occasion and we used
our fancy wedding champagne flutes.

We sat down and watched
our wedding film with our
champagne.  I am so glad
we decided to have our
wedding filmed.
What a fantastic day
that was.

It was wonderful to
have Eric home for our anniversary.
We enjoyed our day together
and look forward to
many many many more.

Anniversary Photo Shoot

A new friend of mine is
a fabulous photographer.
Her name is Shelby Leigh White.
She is on the board of the
Officers' Spouses' Club with me.

She took these wonderful anniversary
pictures of us a few weeks ago.
Now that our anniversary is upon us,
(October 29th)
I decided to share the photos.

It's hard to believe it has
already been a year since
we got married...

...But we are loving every minute!

We put photographs of our parents, grandparents

out on a table in the lobby.  Lots of great examples
of wonderful God centered marriages.
