Before Eric's eye surgery
(He had PRK surgery so he won't
have to wear glasses anymore),
we got to visit some of the
tourist attractions in Colorado Springs.
Our first stop was the Garden of the Gods.

After visiting the Garden of the Gods,
we drove over to Seven Falls.
We rode an elevator built inside
a mountain to an observation deck...

...Then we took the elevator back down
and we got to climb 224 steps to
get to the top of the waterfall

The next day, we drove
to the top of Pikes Peak.
"Pikes Peak is the most visited mountain in
North America and the second most visited
mountain in the world behind Japan's Mount Fuji.
At an altitude of 14,115 feet above sea level,
Pikes Peak is the 31st highest peak out of
54 Colorado peaks. Over a half million people
reach the Summit House every year by the
Pikes Peak Highway, Barr Trail or
the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. The 19-mile Pikes Peak
Highway is paved to the summit and is open
year round, weather permitting."

Our last stop was the USA
Olympic Training Center.
"The US Olympic Training Center Colorado Springs
is home to training athletes and coaches as they
prepare for the next Olympic Games. The facility
is the former home of ENT Air Force Base and the
headquarters of the North American Defense
Command, officially became USOC administrative
headquarters in July 1978. The Training Center
is able to provide housing, dining, recreational
facilities and other services for up to 557 coaches
and athletes at one time on the complex."

We crammed a lot of stuff
into a couple of days!
We saw everything we
planned on seeing before
Eric's surgery though!
Colorado Springs is a pretty
cool place with a lot to see!
We have certainly enjoyed
our visit!
