I have had big plans for Eric's
old dresser ever since we got
our new master bedroom furniture and
moved my old furniture into the guest room.
This week, I finally tackled the project.
The dresser - before picture |
I started sanding the dresser before I found an easier way... |
I used a Cover Stain - Just one coat will do it. Then you don't have to sand for hours and hours and hours. |
I picked a deep red and a charcoal color |
First coat - finished |
Then I thought, I might as well get my other projects going as well - my chair that had paint chipping and a night stand. |
I still have some blending and aging to do, but I love the bits of charcoal in with the red |
The new knobs I got from Hobby Lobby - love them |
Eric is going to turn the top two drawers into shelves. We plan to use this piece as an entertainment center for the time being. |
So, this is my project thus far...
I'll post the final product as soon as it's finished!
Not bad for my first attempt at
re-finishing furniture, right?!
