Home - Part III

Here are the last few pictures
of the house.  The living room!
It's the room that we spend most
of our time in!

Hotel Underwood is ready for visitors!

A Visit From the Underwoods

We had a great time with Eric's
parents last weekend.  The weather was perfect
for all of the activities we planned.

We took them to Tulsa's Oktoberfest,
which is a German Festival.
We ate some pretty good food and
watched some German Dancers and listened
to some German Music!  After we spent
some time there, Eric took us to the
University of Tulsa to give us a tour
of the Law School.  We even got to sit in on
a lecture, which was pretty interesting.

On Saturday, we woke up REALLY early
to drive to Norman, Oklahoma for the
OU/Kansas State Game.
It was an 11:00 AM game, so we had to leave
Broken Arrow around 6:00 AM.  We like to
tailgate and beat the rush into Norman.

When we got to town, we dropped by
our usual tailgate for a brief moment,
and then we headed to a neat restaurant
on Campus Corner called 747.  We ate
Hamburgers and Chicken Wraps for
Breakfast before heading into the game.
The weather was absolutely perfect.

The campus was filled with mums, and they were all gorgeous!

So I think we all know that the
outcome of the game was a bit
disappointing, to say the least.
(To my Kansas State family members,
congratulations, and we'll see you next year)

After the game, we drove into Oklahoma City
for an early dinner at Zio's in the Bricktown
District.  Then we went to the Oklahoma
City Bombing Memorial.
We made it back to Tulsa in
time to catch the other football
games we were interested in...
well, mostly just the Notre Dame
Game (My sister-in-law is an alumna).

On Sunday, we went to church
and then out to a yummy lunch at
the Riverfront Grill in Jenks.
It was so fun having my parents
and Eric's parents in the same town.
We all enjoyed our time together.

Sunday afternoon, we planted some
ornamental grass in our backyard.
Our backyard didn't have any kind
of plant in it until we planted the
pretty grass.  We plan to do more
to our backyard as we can.

So, we had a busy weekend,
but it was so much fun!

Who wants to come visit us next?

Jackson Boone

It has been so busy around
here, that I just now realized
I have not introduced Jackson
to my Blog Followers.

Jackson Boone Hayhurst
came into the world on
Sunday evening, July 13th, 2014
weighing in at a healthy 9 lbs. 1 oz.

Jackson was named for his 2
great grandfathers (Jack and Jack)
and his grandfather, my dad, Jack.  His
middle name, Boone, is very special to us.
Boone was our grandparent's (Mimi and Pa)
last name.  As most of you know, they both
went home to be with the Lord in June 2013.

Meet Jackson....

At 9 lbs., he's a big boy.

Officially a Family of 4!

Big Sister Natalie loves Baby Jackson

We all love him to pieces
and can't wait to see his
sweet little personality develop.
God has big plans for this sweet baby...
We think he might end up playing football
for the Sooners in about 2032.
