Snow-tivities

We have really been enjoying
the snow around here lately.
Eric is already wishing it would
snow again - I think there's still
plenty of snow on the ground.

Anyway, here are some pictures
of us playing in the snow with Oliver,
followed by some pictures of us
skiing in Park City.

Oliver - demonstrating how deep the snow is

We went to see a Warren Miller
Film recently.  (Warren Miller puts out
a new film each year - all about skiing
and snowboarding.  It's pretty cool)
With our ticket purchases
we were given lift tickets to a resort in
Park City called the Canyons!

We decided to use our
lift tickets yesterday.
Eric and I got to try out
our new skis (We both got
new skis recently - I also got
a new jacket, gloves, and goggles)!

The first picture is one of my favorites....

The first ski run we did was
called Boomer.  For those of you
not familiar with Oklahoma Football,
Boomer is something we chant at OU
football games.  One side of the stadium
yells BOOMER and then the other side
yells SOONER!  So I was pretty excited
to see a little piece of Oklahoma in Utah.

Then we skied down a little further and
saw the above sign.  BROKEN ARROW!
My hometown!  Pretty cool, huh?!

Riding the ski lift - gorgeous views!

Eric took this cool artsy picture of our shadows from the ski lift.

Last run of the day...

Riding a lift down to the car...

We enjoyed our day together.
Eric is helping me become a better
skier.  It's a lot of fun!
The Canyons resort was pretty nice
but it was like a maze.  There were
so many different lifts to ride -
Eric described it like Willy Wonka's
Chocolate Factory - you have to go
backwards to go forwards.  Haha.

But we both love our new skis!
And I stayed warm in all my new gear!
We are looking forward to many more
skiing adventures together!

Aunt Taylor Meets Natalie!

I just got back from spending
a week in Texas with my family.
I got to meet Natalie for the
first time - it was fabulous!

My first time holding my sweet niece!

Ready for the BCS National Championship Game!
(Candace is a Notre Dame Alumni)
Unfortunately, they didn't beat Alabama.

We had several errands to run,
so we took Natalie on her first
shopping trip.  She loved it!

Natalie's first time in Neiman Marcus!  (Candace is a buyer for Neiman Marcus)

Grammie Pammie with Natalie!

Gramps with Natalie

We love the new addition to the Hayhurst family!

I got to love on both babies!  Natalie and Gizmo

She likes to sleep with her arms up like this

A North Carolina Wedding

At the end of December,
we flew to North Carolina
for a good friend's (Bob) wedding.
Bob was in our wedding.
Bob and Eric were stationed at Malmstrom
AFB together in Montana.

Bob and Cacki were married in a Catholic church.
The reception was held at the Carolina Inn.
The Carolina Inn is a historic hotel on
the University of North Carolina campus in Chapel Hill.
We got to stay at the hotel as well and it was fabulous.

Doesn't he look so handsome?!

Eric was part of the Saber Arch for the wedding
(He's on the left at the end)

I had to be in several pictures with my husband - he looked so handsome!

Our trip to North Carolina was
a bit of a whirlwind with all of the
wedding activities, but we had such
a great time!
