A Visit From My Parents!

My mom and dad came to
visit us over the weekend.
Our time together was action packed!

We enjoyed a nice dinner
at home on Thursday night.
We made steaks with baked potatoes
and cheddar biscuits - it was delicious.

Friday, the boys went skiing at Snowbasin
while my mom and I rode the train into
Salt Lake City to shop at City Creek Center.

After a day of skiing and shopping,
we met up at the LDS Temple.
We had reservations at a restaurant
on the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith
building next to the Temple at
Temple Square.

Check out this view!  It looks like
a painting, doesn't it?!
It's not - it's the view from
the Roof restaurant,
where we had dinner Friday night.

Saturday was an adventure.
We drove to Snowbird in Cottonwood
Canyon for a snowmobile tour.
It was the perfect day for it - crystal clear
skies and warm temperatures.

My mom was nervous about snowmobiling in the first place -
then they gave us avalanche beacons... that did not ease her apprehensions.

The tram that took us to the top of the mountain - holds 125 people

After riding the tram to the top of the mountain, we had to ride a ski
lift down the mountain to get to our snowmobiles.

My mom and dad's snowmobile tipped over while navigating up a side hill...
 no one was injured.

Sunday, we went to church
and then drove to Park City for lunch.
While in Park City, we visited the
Olympic Park Museum and shopped
at the Outlet Mall.

We had such a good time!
I'm so glad they finally got to visit!
Oliver enjoyed their visit as well.
